Marlborough Region in the South Island of N.Z

Marlborough is one of the regions in New Zealand. It is mainly known for all of its wineries and vineyards. It is located on the northeast part of New Zealand. Blenheim is its main city and dozens of wine companies have their vineyards here. The fertile soil and temperate weather makes it the center of New Zealand’s wine industry. Sauvignon Blanc is mainly produced here followed by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. I definitely recommend stopping by here and doing a few wine tasting tours.

how you doing? I obviously see you are still traveling. I’m sure you have been having fun and all (you better be since that is what it is all about). Nothing really new here to report. It’s starting to get awfully hot again. Still been dry though. No rain really to speak of for a while. A few weeks ago it looked like it might start to rain a bit more often, but then that trailed off to nothing. Now all the rain there is stays over the glades. There was a fire in Big Cypress swamp a couple of weeks ago. It really smelled bad of wildfire smoke a couple of mornings but it clears out during the day when the winds come off the ocean. Fort Lauderdale is pretty quiet again. All the snowbirds and tourists have left. Makes it a little easier to bicycle. I’m leaving in a few minutes to take about an hour ride and then get ready for work. Holiday coming up next weekend and then I am going to take a week off in June. Again, nothing big to report on. Take care of yourself and be safe. mark s.

  2. Hi Mark! Good to hear from you. That is really good info, impressed! Hope you enjoyed your bike ride. I’m still in New Zealand and just finished a road trip around the south island and most of the north island. It rains a lot here and the weather is cool, stays in the 50’s because its winter but some nights it can get cold. Apart from that, knowing I’m not a fan of the cold weather, its a wonderful place and it has amazing scenery and I would recommend to anyone. You should take a long trip over here one day. Thanks for the updates and keep in touch. Be safe and take care.
